HiMAR※3(High Quality
In recent years, X-ray digital tomosynthesis systems capable of acquiring three-dimensional images have been used for diagnostic purposes in breast, orthopedic, and other areas. We launched the tomosynthesis as one of the feature functions of X-ray fluoroscopy systems EXAVISTA※1 in 2016, which features a single console without an
additional viewer.
In this paper, we introduce CUREVISTA※2 Open, which was developed in 2020 with further improvements as a versatile system capable of not only fluoroscopy but also general radiography and tomosynthesis imaging. CUREVISTA Open is equipped with TomoVIEW/IR tomosynthesis application, which consists of three technologies: HiMAR※3
(High Quality Metal Artifact Reduction), a process that reduces metal artifacts; Gmode, a process that converts organizational contrasts to that of radiography images in fluoroscopy; and RealtimeIR (Iterative Reconstruction), a process that reduces noise. These technologies to enhance image quality and performance will be explained with
examples of actual clinical images.
